How we chose these product launch video makers

A product launch video has one job: in 30–60 seconds, usually muted in a feed, show what you built and why people should try it. We looked at the tools founders and product marketers actually use for that job in 2026, from AI motion design tools to screen recorders, mockup animators, interactive demo platforms, AI avatar video and human freelancers.

For each launch video maker we note what it is best for, how it works and its price as published by the vendor or reported by third-party listings in October 2026. Prices change often, so check each vendor before you buy.

1. Tweenova: best for beat-synced launch videos from real screenshots

Tweenova turns a short brief and your product screenshots into a 30, 45 or 60 second launch video. It proposes three storyboard directions with rendered key frames, animates your screens with kinetic typography and 2.5D camera moves, and cuts everything to an original, license-free soundtrack. You revise in plain words (three rounds included) and download 16:9 and 9:16 MP4s.

Strengths: real UI only, a choice of creative directions, music-led pacing and a published price per video. Limits: no API, no manual timeline editor, no 1:1 export and no videos longer than 60 seconds.

2. Motion (motion.so): best for an AI agent with an API

Motion is an AI motion design agent for launches, demos and ads. It researches your site for brand colours and type, storyboards, and produces visuals, motion graphics, voice-over, music and captions, which you can edit by hand or by chat. It offers MCP access from Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT, an API and a done-for-you studio option. Prices were not published when we checked.

3. Hera: best for square cuts and editable motion graphics

Hera makes editable AI motion graphics for product launches from your product promise, three benefits and screenshots. It outputs a 16:9 homepage video, a 1:1 cut-down, a 9:16 teaser and a loopable call-to-action frame. Hera Launch was featured on Product Hunt in April 2026; we did not find a public pricing page.

4. MotionVid: best for animating single assets into ads

MotionVid animates a product image, logo, screenshot or text into short motion-graphics launch ads, without avatars or photoreal footage, and connects from ChatGPT and Claude. Its published plans run from $19 to $249 a month, with an API on the $49 tier.

5. Revid: best for quick Product Hunt videos from a URL

Revid’s Product Hunt launch video generator takes a Product Hunt or product URL, keeps your real screenshots and logo, drafts a script and adds AI voice-over, captions and music. It is part of a broad AI video toolkit with credit-based pricing and also offers AI-generated scenes and stock footage styles.

6. Screen Studio: best for polished walkthrough recordings

Screen Studio is a macOS screen recorder that adds automatic zooms, smooth cursor movement and backgrounds to your recordings. It is the go-to choice for walkthroughs and tutorials. For a launch video you still plan the story, record it and add music yourself.

7. Rotato: best for hand-made device mockup animation

Rotato animates your screens inside 3D device mockups, with templates for scenes and camera moves. It is sold as one-time licences and aimed at designers. You get beautiful device shots, and you build the story, edit and music around them.

8. Arcade: best for interactive product demos

Arcade creates click-through interactive demos that buyers explore at their own pace, popular with sales and onboarding teams. It is a complement to a launch video rather than a replacement: the video earns attention, the interactive demo lets interested buyers dig in. Growth is $42.50 per seat per month billed annually.

9. HeyGen: best when you need a presenter on camera

HeyGen makes AI avatar videos, including avatar-led product videos from a prompt, product photos or a URL. Choose it when your launch video needs a person speaking to camera. If you want the product itself to be the star, a motion-design tool fits better. Plans are $24–89 a month.

10. Fiverr freelancers: best for a custom one-off

Freelance motion designers on Fiverr offer SaaS promo and launch videos from about $50 to $400 for basic gigs, with five to seven day delivery and a set number of revisions. Quality varies widely, so check portfolios, what is included (source files, music licence, vertical versions) and the revision policy.

How to choose a product launch video maker

Start from what the video has to do, then pick the tool that does that job:

  • You want a finished launch video from screenshots, today: an AI motion-design tool such as Tweenova, Motion or Hera.
  • You want to show the product being used, step by step: a screen recorder such as Screen Studio, or an interactive demo tool such as Arcade.
  • You want a person on camera: an avatar tool such as HeyGen, or film yourself.
  • You want hand-crafted device animation and have design skills: Rotato.
  • You want a human to do it all and can wait: a freelancer or an agency.

What to watch out for

Generative video models can invent screens that your product does not have, and buyers notice. Whatever tool you use, make sure every screen in the launch video is real.

Check the length and format each channel needs before you export: App Store previews must be 15–30 seconds at specific resolutions, Product Hunt and Google Play take YouTube links, and social feeds want 9:16. Our App Store preview specs and Product Hunt size guides cover the details.
