Motion Alternative for AI Launch Videos: Tweenova vs Motion
Motion (motion.so) and Tweenova both make motion-designed launch videos with AI rather than avatar videos. This comparison shows where they differ, so you can choose the right one for your team.

What is Motion (motion.so)?
Motion, at motion.so, describes itself as a “frontier agent for motion design” for launches, demos and ads. Its AI agent researches your website to pick up brand colours and typography, writes a storyboard, and produces the visuals, motion graphics, voice-over, music and captions. You can edit the result by hand or by chatting with the agent.
Motion also offers access through MCP, so you can drive it from Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT, plus an API and a done-for-you “Motion Studio” option where its team directs the video. When we checked on October 17, 2026, the site did not publish prices; its calls to action were “Book a demo” and “Get started”.
Why teams look for a Motion alternative
Motion is a capable product, and for many teams it will be the right choice. People comparing alternatives usually want something specific that a different tool does differently:
- A price per video they can see before signing up or booking a call.
- A choice between several creative directions before anything is animated.
- A strict guarantee that only their own screenshots appear on screen.
- Music-led editing, with every cut timed to the soundtrack.
- A simple flow: brief, pick, review, download, without editing the video themselves.

Where Motion is stronger
Be honest about the trade-offs. Motion offers things Tweenova does not: an MCP server and API, so developers can generate videos from an AI assistant or their own code; hands-on editing when you want to adjust details yourself; and a done-for-you studio service when you would rather hand the whole video to a team.
If any of those matters most, Motion is worth a demo.
Choose between three storyboards before animation
Tweenova does not commit to one idea. Every brief returns three genuinely different storyboard directions, each with a rendered key frame, and you pick one before any animation is built. It is the step a creative director would take with a motion designer, and it keeps your launch video from looking like everyone else’s.
Only your real screenshots on screen
Tweenova builds every frame from the screenshots you upload and the claims in your brief. It does not invent interface screens, numbers, customer logos or testimonials. For a product launch, where viewers will try the product minutes later, that keeps the video honest by design.
Price per video, published
Tweenova’s prices are on its pricing page. A 30-second video uses 100 credits, 45 seconds 150 and 60 seconds 200. That is $19 for a one-off 30-second video, or about $10–15 per 30-second video on a plan. Purchased credits never expire, and failed videos are refunded automatically.
